Are you a passionate problem solver?
As a kid, did you take apart toasters and cars to see how they worked? We did, too! At NI, we don’t just ask why things work, but also how and for whom. We believe in the power of making connections—between people, ideas, and technology.
From data and automation to research and validation, we enable our customers to achieve greater speed, scale, and efficiency so they can engineer the extraordinary and have the greatest impact today and for the next 100 years.

Product Marketing Manager
Derek Burrows
I began my career in applications engineering as part of the Engineering Leadership Program. I wore many hats—frontline technical support, sales development engineer, applications team leader—before landing on product marketing. Product marketing combines my love of tech with my love of customer interaction—working with clients to find the best product solution for them. No two days are alike. One day I’m in the office working on content, another I’m on site inspecting a rocket booster.
FUN FACT
I predicted the winner of March Madness with LabVIEW VI. I never watched a game.

After 25 years running Freescale’s RF business, I led and significantly expanded the Biometrics Division at Synaptics to reach PC and tablet customers. I was named CEO of NEXT Biometrics and joined NI in 2019, excited to help grow its semiconductor business in a collaborative environment.
